By the foundation of EBS in 2002, there were several locations to choose from. The decision was in favor of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The location Cluj-Napoca, Romania was considered attractive because of the followings:
- Foreign IT Companies are greatly supported by the Romanian government
- Due to the resident universities with IT faculties, Cluj Napoca offers great quantity and quality potential for IT specialists (over 50.000 Students)
- There is an international Airport with many air connections to different places all over the world
- The city itself, with around 300.000 inhabitants is an attractive environment
